Job Description:
* Analyze, summarize financial results highlighting performance objective variances and identifying trends (positive and negative).
* Develop and implement business analysis tools and reporting that identify business performance (business, region and corporate).
* Assist in the formulation and implementation of changes to existing financial systems and development of improved systems.
* Collect input, help prepare and recommend improvements to the company's annual plan and financial forecasts.
* Assist department managers in developing their annual budgets.
* Monitors department budget reports and, as requested, provides department managers with analysis thereof.
* Participates in financial planning and other tactical planning.
* Develops financial reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis.
* Participates in some month-end reporting.
* Ability to interact with all levels of management.
* Responsible for managing financial projects and analysis.
* Analyzes company performance and effectiveness and recommends corrective action when needed.
* Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate, and/or format data and reports.
* Other analytical projects as assigned.
Required Experience
* 4 year degree in accounting or finance with an MBA and/or CPA required.
* At least 8-10 years broad financial experience including experience in a retail or distribution company.
* Proven analytical and organization skills, interpersonal flexibility, and communication skills.
