Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for selling all APP products within an assigned geographical territory. The Specialist will maintain and generate new business, promote APP products/programs, and develop current and new account relationships.
• Increase sales in assigned territory and develop new business opportunities.
• Launch new products and programs.
• Utilize product knowledge and sales skills to identify and meet customer needs.
• Achieve territory sales goals.
• Prepare and utilize sales tools to maximize effective customer presentations.
• Maintain current database for top accounts. This includes GPO and Wholesaler affiliations, key contacts, address, phone, fax, e-mail, etc.
• Achieve yearly expense budgets.
• Manage projects in a manner that meets objectives and produces results to grow market share.
• Interact successfully with customers and other project team members.
• Expand relationships to include all levels of pharmacy staff (Director of Pharmacy, Supervisors, Clinical, and Pharmacists).
• Apply effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
• Desire to excel and meet aggressive goals.
• Contribute to the success of the region, beyond individual territory.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree Required (Business or Science degree preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must have the ability and willingness to travel frequently – Air/Auto.
