We are currently seeking an Application Systems Engineer with ClearCase experience for an excellent contract to hire opportunity in the Des Moines, IA area.



This project is expected to last an initial 12 months with the high likelihood of long-term contract extensions.



PROJECT DETAILS:



This position works in a team that does software configuration management, supporting a team of 100+ developers.



The primary responsibilities of this position are to:



- Perform ClearCase build-related activities, including: deliveries, builds, rebasing and baselines.

- Have experience with and understand the IBM Rational UCM model using ClearCase and ClearQuest.

- Develop and maintain build and deploy scripts.

- Experience implementing and/or maintaining build tools, such as Cruise Control.

- Know and understand different code stream branching and merging strategies.

- Experience improving the build & deploy process and continuous integration.



Qualifications & Skills



- 4 year degree plus 5-7 years experience in Software Configuration Management.

- Experience using the following tools: ClearCase; IBM Rational UCM Model with ClearQuest; scripting tools, such as Ant, Perl, UNIX Shell

- Working knowledge or experience with the following tools and/or environments is helpful: WebSphere, WebLogic, webMethods, Java, J2EE, EJB's

- Experience with build tools, such as Cruise Control, BuildForge, AntHill Pro, etc.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills







ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:



Please note the daily work hours will be 2:00pm-11:00pm, including one Saturday or Sunday / month.
