Legislative and Social Policy Work





ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) is the nation's largest community organization of low-and-moderate income families, working together for social & economic justice and stronger communities.





ACORN is currently interested in shaping social policy and legislation in four (4) different states:


* Arizona


* Colorado


* Minnesota


* Missouri







ACORN is looking for a Legislative Campaign Coordinator to work in some of our state offices.





Requirements:


* Work with our Membership Board and Organizers on policy changes as set by the Board.


* Organizing turn-outs and events at the state capitol with ACORN members, leaders & allies.


* Developing a strong, nuanced strategy around the ACORN agenda as well as strong relationships with legislators and executive branch staffers.


* Developing critical strategies for moving state legislation.





Full time salaried position with paid health benefits.





Specific credit may be given for years of similar previous services.





Relocation may be necessary.
