We seek a highly motivated and uniquely creative SQL Server Database Administrator to join our Database Services Team. Successful applicants are technology leaders and have 5-7 years of strong database administration of SQL Server 2000/2005 servers - preferably in a large, corporate database environment. Additionally, applicant should have experience with all of the capabilities of SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005.



The Database Services Team is responsible for establishing T-SQL coding standards, support of all SQL Servers from development through production, capacity planning, server/data availability, and support of development work efforts. You will work in a demanding and exciting environment that is creative, detail oriented, and absolutely vital to the success and strength of the company.



What You Will Do:

· SQL Server environment maintenance

· Technical support of peers and application developers

· Backup and recovery set-up and monitoring

· Data access control based on security and privacy policies

· Participate in 24x7 on call support

· Performance and tuning analysis, systems support and optimization

· T-SQL script tuning and development

· Migration and execution of SQL stored procedures and scripts

· Application of SQL service packs and security patches

· Timely support of incident and problem tickets

What You Need To Have:



· 5-8 years solid IT experience

· 4+ years SQL Server administration, including SQL Server 2005

· 4+ years or more direct experience with MS Transact-SQL with demonstrated experiences

· In-depth knowledge of SQL Server internals

· In-Depth experience with:

Replication (set-up, administration and troubleshooting)

Disaster recovery planning an implementation

Log shipping (practice and methodologies)

SQL Server Integration Services

SQL Server Services Broker

SQL Server Database Mirroring

SQL Server Database Snap-Shots

Analysis Services

MS Windows Clustering administration

· Technically sound regarding IT in general

· Understanding of the development lifecycle and practices

· VB-.NET and VBscripting experience a plus
