Position Description:
Work with development teams to manage complex gaming systems. The Hardware PM’s goals will be to deliver gaming apps in a timely, organized, and well-managed way. The Hardware PM will work with Engineers, Art Directors, Third Party Contractors, Marketing, Account Management, QA, Business Partners, and Customers toward this goal.
Position Summary:
• Provide project analysis and oversee project expenditures. Keep project on-time and within budget.
• Responsible for determining project scope, duration, costs, operational requirements and risks
• Maintain high level of communications with clients, vendors, company staff and others on project progress.
• Coordinate with technical staff, IT professionals, and contractors needed to complete projects.
• Design, plan, and implement actual projects to address company goals in business expansion, technical conversions, and business strategy. Take complete responsibility to oversee projects from beginning to end.
• Assist and participate in hardware/architecture discussions and trade-offs. Trouble-shoot, diagram, research and work on hardware.
Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in engineering field, or equivalent experience
• 6 years experience in project management with demonstrated knowledge of hardware design and architecture and current project management methodologies such as TQM, PMP, etc.
• 4 years hands-on experience working with hardware, R&D, or in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of technical systems that support business operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage people, work with vendors, and settle disagreements among conflicting entities.
• Excellent communications skills both orally and in writing.
• Must be self-motivated and driven to deliver on commitments.
• Experience in implementing changes.
• Experience in a technical environment requiring coordinating software and hardware teams and multiple departments.
• Knowledge of MS Project and/or CMM preferred.
• 20% travel required.
