Horrible. Our shower didn't work for about a month, so we were given keys to whatever apartment was vacant and told to "shower there"... with maintanence people coming and going out trying to get them ready to rent. Awkward. No one really cared about fixing our shower, and when they finally got to it, they did a seriously half assed job, and my roommate and I couldn't take showers on the same day or it would overflow. Our apartment was also "broken into" while we were in it - only our mail key was stolen - weird? Neighbor listened to Heart of Glass and/or an Abba cd on repeat 24/7. Hallways smelled like a petting zoo. People HUFFING PAINT in hallways and parking lot. 2 washers/dryers per building, but they were always broken. Management NEVER RETURNED CALLS. Nice location, but HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

I would not recommend this place. We moved in and immediately discovered it was infested with cockroaches. While the property manager did call a pest control person, she was difficult and not willing to work with us to fulfill our requests so we could live in a bug-free environment. We promptly chose to move out.

I lived at Irving Place Apartments managed by Asset Management Group for 8 long months. Here is my review of the place. The place was affordable, the caretakers are kind, and the proximity to the lake was nice. That’s the pros. Here are the cons. The caretakers are overworked and not available by phone most of the time. The phone door system doesn’t work with cell phones. This was something that I was told Asset Management Group won’t fix. So if you are getting anything delivered you have to make other arrangements to pick it up. You also have to let anyone in at the door. The snow removal only came one time, on time, this whole winter leaving the parking lot a mess. People park in your paid parking spot all the time. There is no smoking in the building so people go outside and make a lot of noise. They also don’t seem to know how to use the butt container that’s out there. The common areas are in need of cleaning not just vacuuming. My Irving Place Apartment had burns in the carpet and the whole apartment was filthy when I moved in. The toilet didn’t flush. The faucet in the bathroom still constantly drips, even after it was “fixed”. The cupboard space in the kitchen is less than adequate and the drawers are small. Asset Management Group is impossible to work with and want to squeeze every penny out of you. This is more a party place. People are noisy and disrespectful leaving their garbage in the stairwells and halls. The windows are in bad need of upgrading. Water damage is seen on the window frames and down the walls. When the wind blows the blinds move even when the storm and inside windows are shut. I had a great run-in with a tenant last night. She asked if she could buy a 12pack through me because the liquor store wouldn’t deliver to her. That’s not Irving Place Apartment’s fault, but it is a good example of what you live around. I would not recommend Irving Place Apartments or any place managed by Asset Management Group to anyone.
